Hood

Assembly overview

1. Hood

Removing

- Disconnect hoses for
windshield washer system
and remove washer
nozzles.

- Remove gas-filled strut

- Unclip hinge cover

Hood, adjusting

- Hood can be aligned between fenders by sliding flap
hinge in elongated holes.

- With stop

fenders.

Gap dimension Body panel gaps; Body, front

- After installation or adjustment work, corrosion protection
measure must be performed on hinge and bolts.

Gas-filled strut, removing

- Support hood.

- Lift securing clip - 1 - using a screwdriver and remove
gas-filled strut from ball studs - 2 - .

Note:

When re-using gas-filled strut, do not pry securing clip - 1 -
completely out of ball socket, otherwise securing clip may
be damaged.
