WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.  

2. Remove the lower column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)  

3. Put aside the upper column cover.  

4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.  

WINDSHIELD WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH INSPECTION 

VEHICLES WITHOUT AUTO WIPER SYSTEM 

1. Verify that the continuity between the windshield wiper and washer switch is as indicated in the table. 



REAR WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH INSPECTION 

1. Verify that the continuity between the rear wiper and washer switch terminals is as indicated in the table. 



If not as indicated in the table, replace the wiper and washer switch.
