– Release and disconnect the connector from the Vehicle GPS

Antenna 1 - R259- .

The Vehicle GPS Antenna 1 - R259- -1- is secured on a connector

bracket -2-.
– Remove the Vehicle GPS Antenna 1 - R259- -1- with the con‐

nector bracket -2- using a suitable tool.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Vehicle GPS Antenna 2 - R260- , Re‐

moving and Installing, GSM

The Vehicle GPS Antenna 2 - R260- is located behind the left rear

bumper cover.
Removing
– Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.
– Remove the ignition key, if equipped.
– Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to ⇒  Body Exterior;

Rep. Gr.  63 ; Rear Bumper; Bumper Cover, Removing and

Installing .

– Release and disconnect the connector -2- from the Vehicle

GPS Antenna 2 - R260- -1-.

– Remove the nut -3- on the Vehicle GPS Antenna 2 - R260-

-1- and then remove the Vehicle GPS Antenna 2 - R260- .

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

The hands-free calling consists of the following components:

♦ Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794- with Blue‐

tooth Antenna - R152-

♦ Storage Compartment with Cell Phone Interface - R265-
♦ Telephone Microphone - R38-
The Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794- is part of

the hands-free setup.
Fault finding is performed via 

Guided Fault Finding

 using the

Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

Notes on Bluetooth

®

 Technology

A standardized radio connection is used to transfer data between

the Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794- and Cellular

Telephone - R54- - Bluetooth

®

 Technology.

An additional transmitter/receiver unit is installed in the Informa‐

tion Electronics Control Module 1 - J794- . A Bluetooth Antenna

- R152- connects the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -

J794- and the Cellular Telephone - R54- so that the Cellular

Telephone - R54- can be operated without a wire connection.
The range is approximately 10 meters.
