Carry out following work:
– Remove cover 

⇒ page 86

– Unclip cover -3-.
– Disconnect connector -4-.
– Remove lock cylinder if it is built into door 

⇒ page 93

 .

– Remove bolts -2-.
– Remove door lock -1- from door.

Note

Cables can be detached if this is necessary for subsequent work.

Detach cable from bearing bracket
– If fitted, unclip door lock cover cap.
– Turn cable -5- 90° and take it out of holding device -arrow a-.

Detach cable from interior door handle
– Turn cable -6- 90° and take it out of holding device.
– Swivel cable -arrow d- so far until cable can be threaded out

of eye in door lock -1- -arrow e-.

Installing

Carry out following work:

Note

Ensure that cover cap is fitted before door lock is installed.

– Push cover cap -1- onto guide on door lock -2- -arrow a-.
– Engage cover cap -1- in middle area of door lock -2-

Removing and installing bearing bracket

Note

Removal and installation are described only for the right door

handle bracket. The removal and installation of the left bearing

bracket is similar.

Carry out following work:
– Remove cover

– Remove lock cylinder

 or cover cap

– Remove door handle 

⇒ page 98

 .

– Unscrew bolt -4- and remove base -3-.
– Remove bearing bracket -1- from door -arrow a-.
Detach cable
– Release holding device -5- and swivel it out of mounting in

bearing bracket -arrow b-.

– Lift cable bolt out of mounting -arrow c-.
– Take cable -2- out of bearing bracket -1- -arrow d-.
