The removal and installation sequence is only for the left lock cyl‐

inder. The removal and installation of the right lock cylinder is

similar.

2.8.1

Removing

Note

Shapes other than those of the covers shown here -4- and -6- may also be installed.

Carry out following work:
• Lock cylinder cover cap has been removed

⇒ page 92

– Lift covers -4- and -6-.
– Remove bolt -5-.

Installing

Carry out following work:
– Pull door handle -2- off door -8- -arrow a-.
– Insert lock cylinder housing -1- into bearing bracket -3- at a

right-angle -arrow b-.

– Screw bolts -5- and -7- into bearing bracket.
Specified torque: Bolts -5- and -7-: 4 Nm

Note

During installation, lock cylinder housing must be pressed against outer door panel.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

2. Door components

Note

Forms other than the cover shown here -2- may also be installed.

Carry out following work:
– Remove cover -2-.
– Insert assembly tool -T10389- into door behind locking hook

-3- for cover cap -1-.

– Pull assembly tool -T10389- backwards -arrow- until hook re‐

leases.
