REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER LH

(a) Install the rear bumper upper cover LH with the 2 nuts.

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE

(a) Install the rear bumper plate with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22ft·lbf}

4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE STAY LH

(a) Install the rear bumper side stay LH with the 5 bolts.

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22ft·lbf}

5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE STAY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

6. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME WIRE

(a) w/ Towing Package:

(1) Attach all the clamps to install the No. 2 frame wire to the receiver hitch bracket sub-assembly.

(b) w/o Towing Package:

(1) Attach all the clamps to install the No. 2 frame wire to the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT LH

(a) Install the rear bumper bar corner reinforcement LH with the 5 bolts.

Torque:

30 N·m {306 kgf·cm, 22ft·lbf}

8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

9. INSTALL NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

10. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION INSERT LH

(a) Install the rear bumper extension insert LH with the 8 clips.

14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION INSERT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

15. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

16. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

17. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 12 claws and 2 guides to install the rear bumper pad sub-assembly LH.

(b) Install the 3 clips.

18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE LH

(a) Attach the 3 claws and clip to install the rear bumper plate LH.

19. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PLATE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

As the rear bumper cover is extremely heavy, the engine lifter may suddenly drop if the instructions listed

in the repair manual are not followed. Therefore, always follow the instructions listed in the repair manual
when performing this procedure.

1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER

(a) w/ Towing Package:

(1) Using an engine lifter or equivalent, install the rear bumper cover with the 12 bolts.

Torque:

153 N·m {1560 kgf·cm, 113ft·lbf}

NOTICE:

Using plate lift attachments or equivalent, set the rear bumper cover on a flat surface.
Be sure to perform the operation with 2 persons or more.
Be careful not to damage the rear bumper cover.

(b) w/o Towing Package:

(1) Using an engine lifter or equivalent, install the rear bumper cover with the 8 bolts.

Torque:

153 N·m {1560 kgf·cm, 113ft·lbf}

NOTICE:

Using plate lift attachments or equivalent, set the rear bumper cover on a flat surface.
Be sure to perform the operation with 2 persons or more.
Be careful not to damage the rear bumper cover.

2. INSTALL WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR (w/ Towing Package)

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the wiring harness connector.

(b) Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER (w/o Towing Package)

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the wiring harness connector.
