(c) Install the rear housing with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

22 N·m {224 kgf·cm, 16ft·lbf}

8. INSPECT TOTAL PRELOAD 

9. INSTALL FLOW CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Coat the flow control valve with power steering fluid.

(b) Install the compression spring and flow control valve to the front

housing.

(c) Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it onto the pressure port union.

(d) Install the pressure port union to the front housing.

Torque:

69 N·m {704 kgf·cm, 51ft·lbf}

10. INSTALL POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION

(a) Coat a new O-ring with power steering fluid and install it to the suction port union.

(b) Install the suction port union to the vane pump with the bolt.

Torque:

12 N·m {122 kgf·cm, 9ft·lbf}

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Before performing the following procedures, move the spacer until the vane pump can be installed.

(a) Install the vane pump with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

28 N·m {286 kgf·cm, 21ft·lbf}

2. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE

(a) Install a new gasket to the pressure feed tube.

(b) Install the pressure feed tube with the union bolt.

Torque:

51 N·m {520 kgf·cm, 38ft·lbf}

3. CONNECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SENSOR CONNECTOR

POWER STEERING: VANE PUMP (for 3UR-FE, 3UR-FBE): INSTA...

(a) Connect power steering oil pressure sensor connector.

4. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

(a) Connect the pump hose with the clip.

5. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS CLAMP

(a) Connect the wire harness clamp.

6. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

8. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

9. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

10. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID 

11. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK

12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
