DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via the CAN communication system.

INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output

INSPECT CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION

(a) Check the skid control ECU connector connection condition.

OK:

The connector is securely connected.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY
GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s)

in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TRC(TRAC) OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Select the Active Test mode and operate the TRAC OFF indicator light using the Techstream.

assembly turn on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

The TRAC OFF indicator light*1 or TRAC OFF display*2 on the combination meter assembly turns on or off

in accordance with the Techstream operation.

HINT:

When the TRAC OFF indicator light remains illuminated*1 or TRAC OFF displayed*2, there may be an open

INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH

(a) Remove the VSC OFF switch

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - VSC OFF SWITCH AND BODY
GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the J22 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table

below.
