P1778 STEP MOTOR

P1778 STEP MOTOR

Description

INFOID:0000000009949038

• Step motor changes step by turning 4 coils ON or OFF according to signal from TCM.
• By changing step, step motor controls outward flow and inward flow of line pressure to primary pulley, deter-

mines the primary pulley position, and controls gear ratio.

• This DTC is not caused by an electrical malfunction (circuit open or short) but is caused by a mechanical

malfunction (control valve clogging, solenoid valve sticking, and others).
