WARNING: To prevent electric shock hazards, be sure to put on insulat- ing protective gear before beginning work on the high volt- age system. 5. Disconnect the traction motor inverter connect . WARNING: To prevent electric shock hazards, be sure to put on insulat- ing protective gear before beginning work on the high volt- age system. 6. Remove the 3-phase bus bar cover and gasket. WARNING: To prevent electric shock hazards, be sure to put on insulat- ing protective gear before beginning work on the high volt- age system. 7. Remove the 3-phase bus bar mounting bolts ( ). WARNING: To prevent electric shock hazards, be sure to put on insulat- ing protective gear before beginning work on the high volt- age system. CAUTION: • When removing the 3-phase bus bar mounting bolt, never drop the bolt into the traction motor. • After the 3-phase bus bar mounting bolt is removed, close off the opening using tape or an equivalent to prevent dirt, dust, or foreign material from enter- ing the traction motor.
