Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Before servicing, turn the ignition switch off, disconnect both battery terminals, then wait at least

three minutes.
1. Disconnect both the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes. Refer to 

PG-

72, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove front pillar upper finishers. Refer to 

INT-18, "Removal and Installation"

.

3. Remove the center console. Refer to 

IP-21, "Removal and Installation"

.

4. Remove the combination meter. Refer to 

MWI-84, "Removal and Installation"

.

5. Remove audio unit (if equipped). Refer to 

XX-XX, "*****"

 (BASE AUDIO), 

AV-108, "Removal and Installa-

tion"

 (DISPLAY AUDIO WITHOUT AMPLIFIER), or 

XX-XX, "*****"

 (DISPLAY AUDIO WITH AMPLIFIER). 

6. Remove AV control unit (if equipped). Refer to 

AV-218, "Removal and Installation"

.

7. Remove cluster lid D. Refer to 

IP-16, "Removal and Installation"

.

8. Remove the front passenger air bag module. Refer to 

SR-15, "Removal and Installation"

.

9. Remove the instrument stay bolts (LH/RH).
10. Disconnect all remaining harnesses and connectors.
11. Remove instrument panel and pad assembly.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
