Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove starter cover bolts and starter cover.
3. Disconnect terminal "S" connector and terminal "B" nut.
4. Remove the two starter bolts, using power tools.
5. Remove the starter.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Tighten terminal "B" nut carefully.

Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to 

EM-162, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Disconnect terminal "S" connector and terminal "B" nut.
3. Remove the two starter bolts, using power tools.
4. Remove the starter.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Tighten terminal "B" nut carefully.
