REAR SUNSHADE OPERATION

• When pressing the UP button of the rear sunshade switch, the rear sunshade moves to the upward position.
• When pressing the DOWN button of the rear sunshade switch, the rear sunshade moves to the downward

position.

• When shifting the selector lever to the “R” position while the rear sunshade is in the upward position, the rear

sunshade moves automatically to the downward position.

1.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear sunshade control unit connector.

3.

Turn ignition switch ON.

4.

Check voltage between rear sunshade control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

2.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check continuity between rear sunshade control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to 

GI-35, "Intermittent Incident"

When rear sunshade switch (front) is operated, rear sunshade motor is activated.

CHECK REAR SUNSHADE FUNCTION

Check that rear sunshade moves upwards and downwards when rear sunshade switch (front) is operated.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Rear sunshade function is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

INT-7, "FRONT : Diagnosis Procedure"

1.

CHECK REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH (FRONT) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear sunshade switch (front) connector.

3.

Turn ignition switch ON.

4.

Check voltage between rear sunshade switch (front) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> GO TO 3.

2.

CHECK REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH (FRONT) GROUND CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check continuity between rear sunshade switch (front) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH (FRONT) CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear sunshade switch (front and rear) connector and rear sunshade control unit connector.

3.

Check continuity between rear sunshade switch (front) harness connector and rear sunshade control unit
harness connector.

4.

Check continuity between rear sunshade switch harness connector and ground.
