Removal and Installation

WARNING:

Before servicing, turn ignition switch OFF, disconnect battery negative terminal and wait for 3 minutes
or more.

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

When removing, always use a remover tool that is made of plastic.

1.

Put selector lever in 

“

N

”

 position (CVT models).

2.

Remove selector lever knob. Refer to 

TM-403, "Removal and Installation"

. (CVT models)

3.

Remove shift lever knob. Refer to 

TM-28, "Removal and Installation"

. (M/T models)

4.

Disengage fixing clip and pawls, and then remove instrument lower cover LH and RH according to numer-
ical order 1

2 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure.

5.

Remove A/T console finisher. (CVT models)

a.

Apply protective tape (A) on the part to protect it from damage.

b.

Disengage fixing metal clips and pawls using a remover tool (A),
and then remove A/T console finisher according to numerical
order 1

→

3 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure.

c.

Disconnect harness connector.

d.

Remove the following part after removing A/T console finisher.
Parking brake switch: Refer to 

PB-156, "Removal and Installation"

.

6.

Remove console boot assembly. (M/T models)

Disengage fixing metal clips and pawls, and then remove con-
sole boot assembly.

b.

Disconnect harness connector.

c.

Remove the following part after removing console boot assembly.
Parking brake switch: Refer to 

PB-156, "Removal and Installation"

.

7.

Remove console switch panel.

a.

Apply protective tape (A) on the part to protect it from damage.

b.

Disengage fixing metal clips using a remover tool (A), and then
remove console switch panel from center console assembly.

c.

Disconnect harness connectors.

8.

Remove console mask.

a.

Open the console lid.

b.

Disengage fixing pawls, and then remove console mask by
arrow as shown in the figure.

9.

Remove console rear finisher assembly.

Remove console rear finisher assembly fixing screw 

.

b.

Disengage fixing metal clips, and then remove console rear fin-
isher assembly by arrows as shown in the figure.

c.

Remove the following part after removing console rear finisher assembly. (if equipped)
Rear ventilator grille: Refer to 

VTL-14, "REAR VENTILATOR GRILLE : Removal and Installation"

.

10. Remove center console assembly fixing screws
