LUGGAGE REAR PLATE : Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

Never damage the body panel.

REMOVAL

1.

Fully open back door.

2.

Remove rear luggage floor board center.

3.

Remove luggage rear plate mask. 

a.

Apply protective tape (A) on luggage rear plate to protect it from
damage.

b.

Disengage luggage rear plate mask fixing pawls using a
remover tool (A), and then remove luggage rear plate mask.

4.

Remove back door weather-strip. Refer to the following.
• Type 1: Refer to 

DLK-295, "BACK DOOR WEATHER-STRIP : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 2: Refer to 

DLK-603, "BACK DOOR WEATHER-STRIP : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 3: Refer to 

DLK-766, "BACK DOOR WEATHER-STRIP : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 4: Refer to 

DLK-908, "BACK DOOR WEATHER-STRIP : Removal and Installation"

Remove luggage rear plate fixing clips 

.

6.

Apply protective tapes (A) on the body panel to protect it from
damage.

7.

Disengage luggage rear plate fixing pawls using a remover tool
(A).

8.

Remove luggage rear plate fixing clips using a remover tool (A).

CAUTION:

Use a remover tool wrapped in tape (B).

9.

Disengage fixing pawls, and then remove luggage rear plate.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Visually check the clips for deformation and damage during installation. Replace with new ones if

necessary.

• Check in advance that clips and pawls are accurately aligned with the portions on body panel, and

then install by pressing in.

CAUTION:

Never damage the body panel.

REMOVAL

1.

Remove tonneau cover assembly.

2.

Remove second seat. Refer to 

SE-54, "Removal and Installation"

.

3.

Remove third seat. Refer to 

SE-70, "Removal and Installation"

 (with third seat).

4.

Remove third seat striker. Refer to 

SE-70, "Removal and Installation"

 (with third seat).

5.

Remove second seat belt outer anchor mounting anchor bolts.

6.

Remove third seat belt outer anchor mounting anchor bolts (with third seat).

7.

Remove luggage rear plate. Refer to 

INT-41, "LUGGAGE REAR PLATE : Removal and Installation"

.

8.

Remove luggage room lamp. Refer to 

INL-90, "Removal and Installation"

.

9.

Remove rope hook.

a.

Disengage fixing pawls using a remover tool (A), and then open
rope hook cover.

b.

Remove rope hook mounting bolt 

, and then remove rope

hook.

10. Remove luggage trim cap using a remover tool (A) (without third

seat).

CAUTION:

Use a remover tool wrapped in tape (B).

11. Remove luggage side lower finisher mounting bolts 

 (without

third seat).

12. Remove luggage side lower finisher rear end fixing clips using a

remover tool (A).

CAUTION:

Use a remover tool wrapped in tape (B).

13. Remove luggage side lower finisher front end fixing clips using a

remover tool (A).

CAUTION:

Use a remover tool wrapped in tape (B).

14. Disengage luggage side lower finisher fixing clips and pawls

according to numerical order 1
