FRONT DOOR REGULATOR

• Work procedure. Refer to 

PWC-34, "Work Procedure"

.

FITTING INSPECTION

• Check that the glass is fit securely into the sash groove.
• Lower the glass slightly [approximately 10 to 20 mm (0.394 to 0.787 in)], and check that the clearance to the

sash is parallel. Loosen the regulator mounting bolts, guide rail mounting bolts, and glass and guide rail
mounting bolts to correct the glass position if the clearance between the glass and sash is not parallel.

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Never damage rear door glass and rear door panel.

Remove rear door corner piece. Refer to 

GW-54, "REAR DOOR CORNER PIECE : Removal and Installa-

tion"

REAR DOOR GLASS

2.

Operate power window switch to raise or lower rear door glass until rear door glass mounting bolts 

 can

be seen, and then remove rear door glass mounting bolts.

3.

Hold securely rear door glass and pull it out of rear door panel to
remove rear door glass.

CAUTION:

Never damage rear door glass and rear door panel.

INSTALLATION

Note the following item, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Tighten rear door glass mounting bolts to the specified torque. Refer to 

GW-51, "Exploded View"

.

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Never damage rear door glass and rear door panel.
1.

Fully open rear door glass.

2.

Remove rear door inside handle. Refer to the following.
• Type 1: Refer to 

DLK-309, "INSIDE HANDLE : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 2: Refer to 

DLK-616, "INSIDE HANDLE : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 3: Refer to 

DLK-779, "INSIDE HANDLE : Removal and Installation"

.

• Type 4: Refer to 

DLK-921, "INSIDE HANDLE : Removal and Installation"

.

3.

Disconnect rear door speaker harness connector 

.

Cut butyl-tape inside of rear door sealing screen by using cutter knife (A).

CAUTION:

Cut the butyl-tape so that remain on rear door sealing screen, if the rear door sealing screen is
reused.

5.

Reconnect power window switch.

6.

Fully close rear door glass.

7.

Disengage rear door glass run 

 from rear door lower sash 

.

8.

Remove rear door lower sash mounting bolts 

.
