< DTC/CIRCUIT DIAGNOSIS >

[HRA2DDT]

P0530 REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 5.

NO

>> GO TO 6.

5.

CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect ECM harness connector.

3.

Check the continuity between refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connec-
tor.

4.

Also check harness for short to ground and to power. 

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace refrigerant pressure sensor.

NO

>> Repair or replace error-detected parts.

6.

CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY-2

Check the voltage between refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 7.

NO

>> GO TO 8.

7.

CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect ECM harness connector.

3.

Check the continuity between refrigerant pressure sensor harness connector and ECM harness connec-
tor.

4.

Also check harness for short to power. 

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check the intermittent incident. Refer to 

GI-41, "Intermittent Incident"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace error-detected parts.

8.

CHECK REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

If DTC P0560 is displayed with DTC P060A, first perform trouble diagnosis for DTC P060A. Refer to 

ECH-237,

"DTC Logic"

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.

PRECONDITIONING

Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 12 minutes.

>> GO TO 2.

2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.

Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 15 seconds.

2.

Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES

>> Proceed to 

ECH-228, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

NO

>> INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE

1.

Start the engine.

2.

Check battery voltage.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> Recharge the battery.

2.

CHECK BATTERY TERMINALS

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check battery terminals condition.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair the battery terminals.

3.

CHECK BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR

Check that the proper type of battery and type of alternator are installed.
Refer to, 

PG-158, "Battery"

 and 

CHG-34, "Alternator"

.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> Replace with a proper one.

DTC No.

BATTERY VOLTAGE
(System Voltage)

• ECM detect DTC P060A for 0.04 seconds 

or more.

• Battery voltage remains 16V or more for 2.5 

seconds or more.

• Battery voltage remains 9V or less for 10 

seconds or more.

• Harness connectors

(ECM power supply circuit is open or 
shorted.)

• Battery
• Battery terminal
• Alternator
• IPDM E/R

Voltage: More than 9 V

CHECK ECM POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-1

Check the voltage between ECM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check intermittent incident. Refer to 

GI-41, "Intermittent Incident"

.

NO

>> GO TO 5.

5.

CHECK ECM POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-2

1.

Disconnect ECM harness connector.

2.

Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.

3.

Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.

4.

Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 7.

NO

>> GO TO 6.

6.

DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART

Check the following.
• Harness connectors
• Harness for open or short between ECM and IPDM E/R

>> Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.

7.

CHECK FUSE

1.

Disconnect 15A fuse (No. 55) from IPDM E/R.

2.

Check the fuse.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Check intermittent incident. Refer to 

GI-41, "Intermittent Incident"

.

NO

>> Replace the fuse.
