Wait at least 3 minutes. For vehicle with the engine listed below, remove the battery terminal after a lapse
of the specified time.

CAUTION:

While waiting, never operate the vehicle such as locking, opening, and closing doors. Violation of
this caution results in the activation of ACC power supply according to the Auto ACC function.

Remove 12V battery terminal.

CAUTION:

After installing 12V battery, always check self-diagnosis results of all ECUs and erase DTC.

Smart FET

lamps control.
NOTE:
A MOS field effect transistor is a transistor in which the gate is com-
posed of a metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS). Field effect transistor
is controlled by voltage, while ordinary transistor is controlled by cur-
rent. Electrode of field effect transistor is called source, drain, or
gate, while electrode of ordinary transistor is called emitter, collector,
or base.

IPDM E/R activates the internal control circuit to perform the relay ON-OFF control according to the input sig-
nals from various sensors and the request signals received from control units via CAN communication.
NOTE:
To prevent to the parts, IPDM E/R integrated relays cannot be removed.
