Disassembly

1.

Remove differential side bearing using Tool (A) and suitable
puller.

2.

Remove lock ring (1) to differential case.

3.

Remove pinion mate shaft, pinion mate gear, side gear and
thrust washer to differential case.

Assembly

Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly. Refer to 

TM-635, "Exploded View"

.

CAUTION:

Make sure that lock ring is securely installed to the groove.
• Install differential side bearing using Tool (A).

FINAL DRIVE

• Check side gears, thrust washers, pinion mate shaft, pinion mate

gears, lock ring and differential case. If necessary, replace with a
new one.

BEARING

• Check for bearing damage and rough rotation. If necessary,

replace with a new one.

CAUTION:

When replacing tapered roller bearing, replace outer and inner
races as a set.
