DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE AND OPERATION

MOTOR
There is s motor assembled on the front-side of the housing 
and the structure consists of the motor unit, drive gear and sun-
roof-ECU.

SUNROOF-ECU

The sunroof ECU incorporates a microcomputer and 
controls the motor operations according to the sun-
roof switch signal and ETACS signal state.

ABBREVIATIONS

The following abbreviations are used in this manual 
for classification of model types.
MFI: Indicates multiport fuel injection, or engines 

equipped with multiport fuel injection.

A/T: Indicates automatic transaxle, or models 

equipped with automatic transaxle.

DOR radiator: Prem Air

â divect ozone reduction

A/C: Indicates air conditioning.

2.4L engine: 2.4 liter <4G69> engine, or a model 

equipped with such an engine.

3.8L engine: 3.8 liter <6G75> engine, or a model 

equipped with such an engine.

MIVEC: Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and Elec-

tronic  Control system.

ABS: Anti Skid control system.
TCL: Indicates traction control system.
