9. The customer-programming mode is terminated by any of 

the following conditions.

• When the registration of 8 transmitters are completed

• When 1 minute has elapsed without registration after the 

shift to the customer-programming mode

• when 1 minute has elapsed after previous transmitter regis-

tration

• When the engine speed is more than 200 rpm

• The EEPROM abnormality occurs [When the EEPROM 

abnormality occurs during the transmitter registration, 
delete all the transmitters stored (including the transmitters 
used for the shift to the customer-programming mode), and 
finish the customer-programming mode.]

KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM CHECK

Check the keyless entry system as described below. If it does 
not work, perform troubleshooting. Refer to 

P.42C-84

.

• Operate the transmitter to check that the doors can be 

locked and unlocked.

• Operate the transmitter to check that the answerback func-

tion works in response to doors locking/unlocking.
NOTE: The hazard answerback setting can be changed 
using the customization function. Confirm which setting is 
activated before performing these checks. Refer to 

P.42C-126

.

INSPECTION OF KEYLESS ENTRY TIMER LOCK 
FUNCTION

Attempt to unlock the doors by using the transmitter. If the 
doors are not locked within 30 seconds, carry out diagnosis. 
Note that the doors will not be locked if the ignition key is 
inserted within the 30-second period, or the doors are opened. 
Refer to 

P.42C-84

.

NOTE: The operation time of the keyless entry timer lock func-
tion can be set using the customization function. Confirm the 
operation time before performing the diagnosis. Refer to 

P.42C-126

.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT
