INSPECTION PROCEDURE H-5: Left or right side electric retractable remote controlled door mirror 
does not work at all.

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

If left or right side electric retractable remote control-
led door mirror does not work at all, door mirror 
assembly may be defective.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the door mirror assembly

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step 1. Connectors check D-01 door mirror 
assembly (RH) connector and D-15 door mirror 
assembly (LH) connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

Step 2. Check the door mirror assembly
Check whether the door mirror assembly has 
returned to normal operation (Refer to GROUP 51 

− 

Door Mirror 

P.51-43

).

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Replace the door assembly.

Step 3. Confirm which door mirror is defective

Q: Confirm which door mirror is defective. 

LH : 

Go to Step 4.

RH : 

Go to Step 7.

Step 4. Connectors check: B-132 ETACS-ECU 
connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 5.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

Step 5. Check the wiring harness between D-01 
door mirror assembly (RH) connector terminal 
No.6 to B-132 ETACS-ECU connector terminal 
No.21

NOTE: 

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check interme-
diate connector B-21, and repair if necessary.

• Check the input and output signal line for open 

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 6.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

Step 6. Check the wiring harness between D-01 
door mirror assembly (RH) connector terminal 
No.7 to B-132 ETACS-ECU connector terminal 
No.39

NOTE: 

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check interme-
diate connector B-21, and repair if necessary.

• Check the input and output signal line for open 

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 10.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 8.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

Step 8. Check the wiring harness between D-15 
door mirror assembly (LH) connector terminal

diate connector B-42, and repair if necessary.

• Check the input and output signal line for open 

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :
