HANDS FREE-ECU

CHASSIS ELECTRICAL

1. Display the pairing list screen, and select "New 

Device."
NOTE: When the vehicle is being driven, or when 
the vehicle is driven during the pairing operation, 
"This function is disabled while driving." is dis-
played for 4 seconds, and the display returns to 
the pairing list screen.

2. Enter the 4-digit code on the Pin code screen, and 

select "Enter."

3. "Begin Pairing procedure on device. See device's 

manual for instructions." is displayed on the 
screen.

4. Refer to the owner’s manual for your device and 

enter into the device the pin code.

NOTE: When "Cancel" is selected or the pairing is 
failed, the display returns to the pairing list screen.

5. When the pairing is completed, the display returns 

to the pairing list screen.

NOTE: When 7 Bluetooth

®

 devices are already 

paired to the hands free ECU, "Maximum device 
paired. Please delete a paired device before pairing 
a new device." is displayed.

DELETE OPERATION OF BLUETOOTH

® 

DEVICE

1. Display the pairing list screen, and select the 

"Bluetooth

® device" to be deleted.

2. Select "Delete."

deleted and the display returns to the pairing list 
screen.

The 4-digit password set by security function can be 
erased by the diagnosis mode. Perform the 
"UNLOCK" operation of the diagnosis mode. (Refer 
to 

P.54A-406

.)

ENGLISH SELECTION USING AUDIO 
SYSTEM <VEHICLES WITH RADIO AND 
CD PLAYER (TYPE 2)>

The language can be switched between Australian 
English and British English by using the MENU mode 
of the radio and CD player when the user has 
selected English as the voice recognition language 
of the hands free system. The initial setting of the 
radio and CD player is set to British English. If the 
language setting of the radio and CD player is 
changed, the setting will be held until the radio and 
CD player is reset.
NOTE: When the radio and CD player defaults to the 
initial setting by replacing the radio and CD player or 
by removing the battery, set the radio and CD player 
again.
Procedure for selecting voice recognition 
language between Australian English and British 
English
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.

2. Press the "MENU" button of the radio and CD 

player shortly to switch to the MENU mode.

3. Repeat pressing the "MENU" button of the radio 

and CD player shortly until the "English-type on 
phone call" menu is displayed on the MENU mode 
screen.

4. By pressing the "TUNE/SEEK (Up-step/Up-seek)" 

button or the "TUNE/SEEK (Down-step/Down-
seek)" button of the radio and CD player while the 
"English-type on phone call" menu is displayed, 
the display will switch between Australian English 
and British English.

5. After selecting the language, shortly press the 

"MENU" button of the radio and CD player to exit 
the MENU mode.

6. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) 

position, and after approximately 30 seconds, turn 
it to the ON position again. The language will be 
switched.
