Inspection Procedure 12: The turn-signal lamp indicator does not illuminate.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the turn-signal lamp indicator does not illuminate, 
the wiring harness connector(s) or the combination 
meter may be defective.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the combination meter

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the turn-signal lamps.
When the turn-signal lamp switch is operated, check 
that the turn-signal lamps illuminate/go off normally.

Q: Are the turn-signal lamps in good condition?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

First, repair the turn-signal lamps. Refer to 
trouble symptom chart

STEP 2. Connector check: C-111 and C-113 
combination meter connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Repair the defective connector.

STEP 3. Resistance measurement at the C-111 
and C-113 combination meter connector.

(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the 

wiring harness side.

(2) Resistance between C-111 combination meter 

connector terminal No.57 and body earth

OK: Continuity exists (2 

Ω or less)

(3) Check the resistance between the C-113 

combination meter connector terminal No.13 and 
body earth.

OK: Continuity exists (2 

Ω or less)

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 5.

NO : 

Go to Step 4.

STEP 4. Check the wiring harness fromC-111 
combination meter conector terminal No.57 or C-
113 combination meter connector terminal No.13 
to body earth.

• Check the earth wires for open circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

The trouble can be an intermittent 

malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 

− How to 

use Troubleshooting/inspection Service 
Points 

− How to Cope with Intermittent 

Malfunction ).

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 5. Connector check: C-113 combination 
meter connector and C-218 ETACS-ECU 
connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 6.

NO : 

Repair the defective connector.

No.56 or C-113 combination meter (turn: RH)
