Apply the sealant to the threads.

Specified sealant:

Mitsubishi Part No. MD997740 or equivalent

NOTE: The new bolt is percolate with sealant, so 
sealant does not need to be applied.

1. Install the thickest snap ring that can be fitted in 

the snap ring groove of the transfer input gear.

2. Make sure that the transfer input gear bearing end 

play meets the standard value.

Standard value: 0 

− 0.06 mm

(For input gear bearing end play)

2. Install the spacer.

1. Install the thickest snap ring that can be fitted into 

the snap ring groove of the counter shaft gear.

2. Make sure that the countershaft gear roller 

bearing end play meets the standard value.

Standard value: 0 

− 0.08 mm
