1. Remove the left sliding door panel (see page 20-13).

2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the actuator.

3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and

ground according to the table. To prevent damage
to the actuator, apply battery voltage only
momentarily.

4. If the actuator does not work as specified, replace it.

1. Remove the right sliding door panel (see page 20-

13).

2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the actuator.

3. Check actuator operation by connecting power and

ground according to the table. To prevent damage
to the actuator, apply battery voltage only

1. Remove the driver’s door panel (see page 20-7).

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the actuator

(B).

3. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2

terminals in each switch position.

• There should be continuity with the knob switch

in LOCK.

• There should be no continuity with the knob

switch in UNLOCK.

4. Check for continuity between the No. 2 and No. 3

terminals in each switch position.

• There should be continuity with the knob switch

in UNLOCK.

• There should be no continuity with the knob

switch in LOCK.

5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the

switch.

1. Remove the front passenger’s door panel (see page

20-7).

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the actuator

(B).

3. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2

terminals in each switch position.

• There should be continuity with the knob switch

in UNLOCK.

• There should be no continuity with the knob

switch in LOCK.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the

switch.

3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each

switch position according to the table.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the

switch.

1. Remove the right sliding door panel (see page 20-

13).

2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the actuator.

3. Check for continuity between the E3 and E4

terminals in each switch position.

• There should be continuity with the knob switch

in UNLOCK.

• There should be no continuity with the knob

switch in LOCK.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the

switch.

switch position according to the table.

4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the

switch.
