Turn the ignition switch OFF. 12. Disconnect the throttle position sensor (TPS) connector. 13. Turn the ignition switch ON (II). 14. Measure the voltage between TPS connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3. Check for a short or an open in the wire between PCM connector terminal A27 and the TPS. Go to step 15. 15. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 16. Disconnect PCM connector C (31P). 17. Check for continuity between TPS connector terminal No. 1 and body ground, and between Check for a short to ground in the wires between TPS connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3, Go to step 18. 18. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector. 19. Check for continuity between shift lock solenoid connector terminal No. 2 and multiplex control unit Go to step 20.
