REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 

VALVE 

Removal & Installation

1. Remove the rear anti-lock brake system (RABS) valve. 

1. Disconnect the RABS valve electrical connector. 

WARNING:

Brake fluid contains polyglycol ethers and polyglycols. Avoid 
contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. If brake 
fluid contacts eyes, flush eyes with running water for 15 minutes. 
Get medical attention if irritation persists. If taken internally, drink 
water and induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.

CAUTION: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is 

spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with 
water.

2. Remove the two hydraulic lines and plug them.  

3. Remove the two RABS valve nuts.  

4. Remove the RABS valve.  

2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Bleed the brakes. For additional information, refer to BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .

MODULE - ANTI-LOCK BRAKE CONTROL REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.  

2. Remove the instrument panel cluster panel. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL 

AND CONSOLE .  

3. Remove the anti-lock brake control module. 

1. Disconnect the anti-lock brake control module electrical connector. 

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If 

exposed to these charges, damage may result.
