7. Remove the two front seat backrest pivot bolts.  

Installation 

NOTE:

Discard the two front seat backrest pivot bolts and install new units during 
reassembly.

NOTE:

Do not overtighten bolts during installation.

1. Install the two front seat backrest pivot bolts.  

2. Attach the lumbar adjuster control cable, remove the front seat backrest recliner bolt and safety belt 

anchor nut. 

1. Attach the lumbar adjuster control cable to its two attachment points and install a new tie strap to 

secure the cable to the frame.  

2. Install the front seat backrest recliner bolt.  

3. Install safety belt anchor nut.

3. Install the safety belt pretensioner attachment nut.

4. Install the front seat cushion. Refer to FRONT SEAT CUSHION-SEAT INTEGRATED 

RESTRAINTS (SIR) . 

5. Install the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT-WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) . 

6. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure. Refer to 

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION .

warnings, cautions, notes and instructions in the supplemental 
restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure.

The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service 
only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove 
could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety 
standards.
