1. Remove the transfer case. Refer to TRANSFER CASE-4R70W TRANSMISSION .  

2. Remove the 4WD indicator switch, if equipped. 

NOTE:

On the instruction shift transfer case, place the transfer case in the neutral position 
for disassembly.

3. Using the special tool, secure the transfer case.
