6. Remove the (1) oil pump drive gear, the (2) oil pump driven gear, the (3) oil pump O-ring 

seal and the (4) oil pump. Discard the oil pump O-ring seal.

7. Inspect components, if necessary. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - 

GENERAL INFORMATION .  

8. Inspect the face of the oil pump for flatness.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

OIL PUMP SCREEN & PICKUP TUBE 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to OIL PAN - 4x2 or OIL PAN - 

4x4 .  

2. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube (6622). 

1. Remove the nut.  

2. Remove the two bolts.  

NOTE:

Lubricate the parts with clean engine oil.

3. Remove the oil pump screen cover and tube.  

4. Remove and discard the gasket.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
