(1) Apply a drop of oil to the bearing surface of the M16 and 

M12 bolt heads.

Timing gear

(1) Use Loctite 243 to secure
(2) Apply a drop of oil to the attachment bolts and tighten 

evenly.

5.2 TIGHTENING TORQUES

The tightening torques recorded in this paragraph 
are different from the standard tightening torques 
recorded in the overview of the standard 
tightening torques. The other threaded 
connections which are not recorded must 
therefore be tightened to the torque recorded in 
the overview of standard tightening torques.

When attachment bolts and nuts are replaced, it 
is important - unless stated otherwise - that these 
bolts and nuts are of exactly the same length and 
property class as those removed.
