3. Connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.
4. Install the left wheelhouse inner panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement -
Left Side (Chevrolet) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Left Side (GMC) .
5. Check and add engine oil if necessary.
ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR AND/OR SWITCH REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the lower oil pan. Refer to Lower Oil Pan Replacement.
2. Remove the oil level sensor clip (3).
3. Remove the oil level sensor bolt (2) and sensor (1).
Installation Procedure
IMPORTANT: When routing the oil level sensor wire, ensure that the wire is
routed along the side of the oil pan.

1. Install the oil level sensor (1) and bolt (2).
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
2. Install the oil level sensor clip (3).
3. Install the lower oil pan. Refer to Lower Oil Pan Replacement.

J 36857 Engine Lift Brackets. See Special Tools .
J 43181 Quick Connect Connector Removal. See Special Tools .

IMPORTANT: In order to remove the engine the vehicle needs to be on a hoist.
The front wheels and tires will also require removal. The vehicle
will have to be supported by the frame when the tires are
removed.
