3. Remove the valve lifters and guide. Fig. 128: Using J 3049-A To Remove Sticking Valve Lifters 4. Use J 3049-A or equivalent in order to remove the valve lifters, if required. IMPORTANT: Some valve lifters may be stuck in their bores because of gum or varnish deposits.
