PARKING BRAKE SHOE INSPECTION 1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . 2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . 3. Remove the rear brake caliper bracket with the rear brake caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement (JH6, JH7) or Rear Brake Caliper Bracket 4. Remove the rear brake rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9) or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH6) or Rear Brake Rotor Replacement (JH7) . 5. Inspect and replace the park brake shoe and lining if any of the following conditions are found: Excessive wear indicated by the park brake lining being worn down to the shoe Park brake lining cracking 17 Refer to Parking Brake Lever Pedal Go to Step 19 Go to Step 18 18 1.
