Fill the engine with NEW engine oil. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations and Approximate Fluid Capacities . 6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.

2. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement (LC9, LH6, LMG, LY2 and LY5) or Engine Front Cover Replacement (LY6, L76 and L92) . 3. Remove the oil pump screen bolt and nuts. 4. Remove the oil pump screen with O-ring seal. 5. Remove the O-ring seal from the pump screen. 6. Discard the O-ring seal. 7. Remove the remaining crankshaft oil deflector nuts. 8. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector. Fig. 15: View Of Oil Pump & Bolts 9. Remove the oil pump bolts (411). 10. Remove the oil pump (413) IMPORTANT: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the oil pump assembly, cap end as necessary.
