1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection 

and Connection (w/Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and 
Connection (w/Auxiliary Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and 
Connection (w/Dual Batteries).  

2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .  

3. Remove the underhood junction block cover.

4. Lift the junction block retainers from the locked position (3) and rotate the retainers to the 

open position (1).  

5. Reposition the junction block.

6. Remove the positive battery cable connector (1) from the underhood bussed electrical 

center (UBEC).
