Drive   a   vehicle   equipped
with the catalytic converter

If   there   is   poor   ignition
of   engine   or   its

performance   reduction   occurs,
please drive your vehicle at the
low-speed   to   the  nearest   Chery
Authorized  Service   Station,   and
do   not   drive   it   at   the   heavy
throttle.

Please avoid all cases that may make
the   fuel   non-combusted   or  partially
combusted   enter   into  the  catalytic
converter, especially when the engine
is in the state of overheat. 

The   followings   shall   be
avoided:



Fuel is used out.



The   engine   starts   for   an
unnecessary long time.



To   make  the  engine   operate
under   the   status   of   one   ignition
plug’s cable joint removed



To   start  the  vehicle   which   its
engine   is   still   in   the   working
temperature   by   pushing   or
dragging the vehicle.



To   turn   off   the   ignition   switch

during driving.

Parking

Please do not park, idle or drive your

vehicle on the dry leaves or hays. The
vehicle   has   the   potential   fire   danger
because   the   exhaust   will  continuously
emit   quite   a  few  heats  within   a   short
time   even   though  the  engine   has
already been turned off.

Do not  substitute  the hand brake with
the gear shifting level during parking.
The hand brake must be pulled up and
the gear shifting level shall be placed

to the P position. 

The ignition switch must be turned off
before   you   leave   your   vehicle.   DO
NOT make the engine operate if there
is no one in the vehicle. Your vehicle
may   move   unexpectedly   and   make
person(s) injured or property damaged
if you neglect this highlight above. 

Chassis protection

Your vehicle is equipped with a heat
shield. Please do not apply coating on
the   heat   shield,   exhaust   pipe   or
catalytic   converter   body   or   their
surrounding   areas.   Please   do   not
remove the heat shield.

Fuel consumption

The   fuel   consumption   is
influenced by the following
factors: 

Speed and gear selection

The figure above shows how
the   fuel   consumption   is

influenced   by   the   speed   and   gear
selection. Hold it on the lower gear to
improve the acceleration quality which

may cause the evidently over-high fuel
consumption.

The frequent cold starting  and  short-
distance   driving   can   make   the   fuel
consumption increase obviously. 

Traffic and road condition

The   traffic   jam,   upslope,  multi-curve
road   and   rough   pavement   make   the
adverse   impact   on   the   fuel
consumption.

Better driving habits

Foresee  the  dangerous  situation  and
keep the safety driving distance to the
vehicle ahead. It can not only reduce

the   fuel   consumption,   but   also
decrease   the   wearing   and   noises   of
the brake.

It is recommended to turn off
the   engine   during   the   level

crossing jam or when you wait for the
Red Light for a long time.

The   engine  idling  for   3   minutes   is
equivalent to the vehicle driving 1 km.

Vehicle loaded conditions

To increase the load of a vehicle can
result the higher fuel consumption.

Vehicle technical conditions

The over-low tire pressure or improper
engine   and   vehicle   maintenance   can
also   result   the   higher   fuel

consumption.

Save fuel for driving, and  utilize
the additional  electrical  load only
when it is necessary.



Need not to warm up firstly and
you can start the vehicle.



Step on the gas pedal smoothly.



Shift   to   the   next   higher   gear
position quickly to get  the lower
engine speed.



Foresee the traffic condition.



Switch off the air conditioning and

rear 

windscreen   heating

immediately if not necessary. 



Regularly   check/adjust  the   tire
pressure.



Regularly   conduct   the   vehicle
maintenance, which it is the best
to be implemented by the Chery
Authorized Service Station.

Radiator fan

The radiator fan is an electric fan, the
working   condition   of   which   is
controlled by the ECU of engine. This
switch   will   turn   on   the   circuit   of   fan
automatically when the temperature of
coolant or  engine compartment is up
to a specified value.

After   stopping   your
vehicle   and   turning   off

the engine, the radiator fan will
still   operate   continuously   for   a
period   of   time   (approx.   10
minutes)   because   the  engine   is
still   in   the   hot   state,   and   stop
operating only after the engine is
cooled 

to   a   specified

temperature. If even so, the fan
may   also   start   up   suddenly   as
long   as   the   temperature   of
engine   compartment   rises
fiercely   under   the   influence   of
the external ambient temperature
(with  exposure  to   the   direct
radiation   of   sunshine  or   in  the
high   temperature   region).   Thus,
take   care   to

 avoid 

the

occurrence  of   accident   when
you   work   in   the   engine
compartment! 

Description:

If   the   temperature   of   coolant   has
already   reached  the  temperature   of
the   fan   starting   but   the   fan   doesn’t
operate, you shall check that the fuse
of fan is blown out. Replace the fuse, if
necessary. 

The fan speed is independent of the
engine   speed.   Shifting   to   the   lower
gear can’t improve the cooling effect of
fan. So, it is unnecessary to shift to the
lower   gear   as   long   as   the   engine
operates   smoothly   and   the   speed
doesn’t decrease evidently when slope

climbing.
