When the ignition switch is  turned  to
the ON position, the indicator on the
instrument   panel   lights   and   self-
checks for approximate 6 s to indicate
that this system can be operated.

If   the   indicator   doesn’t   light,   or   if   it
keeps   intermittent   lighting   or
continuous  lighting   during   driving,   it
indicates that a default occurs. For the

sake of your security, please get to the
Chery   Authorized   Service   Station   to
check your vehicle.

It   is

 recommended 

by   the

manufacturer of airbag installed on the
vehicle   that   the   airbag   shall   be
replaced after the use of 10 years. Up
to   that   time,   both   the  efficiency  of
aerating agent and the performance of
airbag have deteriorated. 

If you do not know the service life of
your   vehicle/airbag,   you   can   contact
the Chery Authorized Service Station
to inquire the relevant detailed data.

The   airbag   system   shall   only   be
handled   by   Chery   Authorized
Service Stations.

Child safety seat

Very   Dangerous!   Take
care   not   to   apply   the

backward child seat for the seat
equipped with the front airbag!

Please   read   and   follow   the
manufacturer’s   instructions   carefully
before the child safety seat is installed.

Please   do   not   hold   the
child on your lap during

the vehicle runs.

For the child whose age is less than
12 years or whose height is below 150
cm, a special child safety seat (such
as   infant   seat,   child   safety   seat   or
heightened cushion and etc.) must be
applied and fixed carefully. 

The  child   safety  seat   must   be
applicable   and   approved   by  the
government.

This   kind   of   safety   seat   is   used
together with the seat belt to help us
provide   the   utmost   security   for   our
children.



The  infant  whose  weight   is  less
than 10 kg or whose age is below
one   year  shall   be   placed  in   the
infant   bed  of   rear   seat  to   make
the   infant   take   a   horizontal

position   in  the  bed   and   to
constraint   or   security   the   infant.
The   best   protection   method   for
the   infant   is   to   use   the   infant
backward safety seat on the rear
seat.

The   little   child   whose   age   is
below 4 years and whose weight
is between 10 to 18 kg shall sit in
the  child safety seat on the rear
seat of the vehicle.



The 4 to 12 years old or 18 to 36
kg child shall sit on the rear seat
with the heightened cushion. The
adjustable   auxiliary   safety   belt
fixed on the heightened  cushion

can   be   able   to   ensure   that   the
diagonal   belt   crosses   the
shoulder

 

properly.

 

The

heightened   seat   position   can
ensure that the adult seat belt is
correctly   led   to   go  across  the
center of shoulder other than the
neck, and the waist safety belt is
adhered   to  the  lap  tightly  other
than the stomach.

limited to a infant

the

provisions   of   road

traffic   safety   laws,   it   is
absolutely 

prohibited   that

children  sit   on   the   front   seat.
The safety seats applicable shall
be available for children.

Start-up

Preparatory   work   before
start-up

The start-up of engine is controlled by
the   electric   control   system   of   the
engine.

To   start   up   the   electronic   injection
engine, do not step on the gas pedal
before   and   during   starting.   You   step
on the gas pedal only when it is a poor
start. For the details about the start of
a vehicle, see the Section “Start-up of
engine” of this chapter. 

The long-time high-speed
idling   of  an  engine   may

create   over-high   temperature   of
the   engine   and   exhaust   system,
which   has   the   risk   of   firing   and
other damages.

Do not make your vehicle
stop,   idle   or   run   on   the
ground   where   there   are

hay   or   other   dry   coverings.  The
exhaust   system   may   make   the
temperature   of   the   engine
compartment   and   exhaust   pipe
rise   up,   which   it   is   possible   to
ignite them.

Do   not   start   up   your
vehicle   on   the   airproof

garage   or   other   enclosed
locations. The exhaust gas from a

vehicle   is   noxious.  The  door   of
garage must be opened before the
engine starts. For the details, see
the   section  “Caution   against   the
exhaust   fume   from   a   vehicle”  in
this chapter.

If   you   smell   the   exhaust
fume   in   your   vehicle,

shall   call   the   Chery   Authorized
Service   Station   immediately   and
let   professional   staff   check   your
vehicle.   In   this   case,   it   is
unallowable to drive your vehicle
continuously.
