Method of operation

Basic operation

NOTICE:

Please refer to the front view in the
Section “Description” to read this
chapter.

WARNING

Please decrease the volume of sound
prior to turn off the ignition key or the
main power supply.

This machine can

memorize the finial setting value of
volume

prior to shut down the

machine.   If   the   volume   is   very   high
prior  to  shut down  the  machine, the
sudden   high   volume   may   hurt  your

ear or damage your machine when
you startup the machine again.

Even if the main power supply is OFF,
the clock will be displayed so long as
the   ignition   key   is   in   the   ACC
(accessory)   or   ON   (ignition)   position.
In   some   automobiles,   when   the
ignition   key   turns   to   the   START
position,   the   clock   isn’t   visual
temporarily; and after the engine starts
up, the clock is visual again when the
ignition key returns to the ON position.

Turn ON or OFF power supply

NOTICE:

If the engine of the vehicle doesn’t
start up, you shall take care of the long
time operation of this machine,

because the vehicle will fail to start up
if the battery wears out, what’s more,
the service light of the battery may
shorten due to the long time operation
of this machine.

Press the POWER button to turn on/off
the machine.

Select the mode

Press the FM/AM button to select
the required band.

Press the CD button to select the
CD play mode.

Press the CDC button to select
the CD Cartridge play mode.

Adjust the volume

Turn   the   knob   clockwise   to   increase
the   volume;   and   turn   the   knob
counterclockwise   to   decrease   the
volume.

The volume range is from 0 (minimum)
to 33 (maximum).

-Please ensure that you still can hear
the traffic signals (whistle, alarm…).

Adjust the bass

Press the SEL button to select
the “BASS”.

Turn   this   button   clockwise   to
increase  the  bass; and  turn  the
button   counterclockwise   to
decrease the bass.

*Its value is set as “0” prior to
leave factory.

The range of adjustment: -7 to +7

After the completion of
adjustment, press the SEL button
for a long time to fulfill the
setting.

Adjust the treble

Press the SEL button to select
the “TREB”.

Turn this button clockwise to
increase the treble; and turn the
button counterclockwise to
decrease the treble.

*Its value is set as “0” prior to
leave factory.

The range of adjustment: -7 to +7

After the completion of
adjustment, press the SEL button
for a long time to fulfill the
setting.

Adjust the balance

Press the SEL button to select
the “BAL”.

Turn   this   button   clockwise   to
increase   the   volume   of   right
speaker;   and   turn   the   button
counterclockwise to increase the
volume of left speaker.

*Its value is set as “0” prior to
leaving factory.

After the completion of

adjustment, press the SEL button
for a long time to fulfill the
setting.

Adjust the fade

Press the SEL button to select
the “FAD”.

Turn   this   button   clockwise   to
increase   the   volume   of   front
speaker;   and   turn   the   button
counterclockwise to increase the
volume of rear speaker.

*Its value is set as “0” prior to
leave factory.

After the completion of
adjustment, press the SEL button
for a long time to fulfill the
setting.

Loudness function

The loudness effect adds the woofer
and bass to create the natural tone.
This function is automatic.

Operation method of radio

Tune into broadcasting

Press the FM/AM button to select
the Radio mode.

Press the FM/AM button to select
band, and when you press the
FM/AM button, the button will
convert according to the following
sequence:

。

Press the button 7 or 8 to tune
the radio to find out your required

radio station.

Frequency scanning

The   frequency   scanning   function
enables   you   to   listen   to   the   first   10
seconds   of   program   of   each   current
band of local radio station.



Press the SCN button to
open/close the frequency
scanning function.

Automatic search



Press the button 7 to tune into
the lower-frequency radio station.



Press the button 8 to tune into
the higher-frequency radio
station.

Station Search sensitivity (for FM

band only)



The Local/Remote mode switch
is available. The specific method
of operation is as follows:

Press the button SET for at
least 2 seconds to enter the
SETUP menu.

Press the button

to select the SRCH option
that you want to change.

Press the button SET to
change the setting LO/DX.

Press the button SET for at
least 2 seconds to exit the
SETUP menu.

Manual tuning

Please switch to the manual tuning
mode, which the specific method of
operation is as follows:

Press the button SET for at
least 2 seconds to enter the
SETUP menu.

Press the button

to select the TUN option
that you want to change.

Press   the   button   SET   to
change   the   setting
AUTO/MAN,   and   set   to
MAN.

Press the button SET for at
least 2 seconds to exit the
SETUP menu.



Press the button 7 to tune into
the lower-frequency radio station.



Press the button 8 to tune into
the higher-frequency radio
station.

Automatic storing (AST)

You   can   store   6   powerful   FM   radio
stations in the FM AST band or store 6
radio   stations   in   the   MW   (AM)   AST
band.   When   you   use   the   automatic
storing function, the radio stations that
are originally stored in the FM AST or
MW (AM) AST band will be covered.


