MONITOR DTC STATUS 1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). 2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF". 3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC s)" mode and monitor "DTC Status" parameter. 4. Is the DTC B1624 present? YES Go to COMPONENT INSPECTION procedure. NO Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and COMPONENT INSPECTION 1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). 2. Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF". 3. Erase the DTC. 4. Is the DTC erased? YES Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or NO Substitute with a known-good IPM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR Refer to DTC B1102. DTC B1627 EEPROM CORRUPTION COMPONENT LOCATION Refer to DTC B1624.
