Connect test light between the terminal E(Y/G)
of the DRL harness E-18 and ground.
Is test light ON?
Yes
Go to next step
No
Repair open or short in the wire "Y/G" or replace.

Lock the parking brake and set the shift lever in
"N " position.
Start engine.
Connect test light between the terminal F(W) of
the DRL harness E-18 and ground.
Is test light ON?
Yes
Go to next step
No
Repair open or short in the wire "W" or replace.

Turn the ignition to OFF and connect the DRL
module.
Check for continuity between the terminal J(Y)
and ground when
1) the engine operates (alternator operates
normally),
2) the ignition switch is ON,
3) the parking brake release, and
4) the headlight switch is OFF.
Is battery voltage present?
Yes
Go to next step
No
Inspect DRL module.

Connect for continuity between the terminal
N(R/L) and ground when
1) the engine operates (alternator operates
normally),
2) the ignition switch is ON,
3) the parking brake release, and
4) the headlight switch is OFF.
Is battery voltage present?
Yes
Check for a poor connection at DRL module.
No
Inspect DRL module.
Circuit testing (DRL module)
Check for voltage or continuity with connected. Repair or replace as necessary.
