Removal

High-mounted brake lights

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Open rear hatch.

3. Remove cover.

4. Remove two screws that attach lens to lights assembly.

5. Disconnect electrical connector from light assembly; remove light assembly.

Installation

High-mounted brake lights

1. Remove cover from light assembly.

2. Position light assembly on rear hatch.

3. Install two bolts attaching light to vehicle.

4. Install two screws attaching lens to light assembly.

5. Connect negative battery cable.

Illumination lamp

Circuit operation

When the light switch is turned to ON position battery voltage is applied from TNS relay to the illumination
lamps, which is grounded permanently. The illuminations illuminate.
