15. Reinstall air box, adjusting box properly.

16. Reinstall battery (if so equipped). Always attach

ground cable last to prevent sparks.

17. Replace exhaust system.

18. Install hood, (if removed) aligning with marks made

during disassembly. Ensure proper hood closure
and readjust if necessary.

19. Test ride the unit to ensure all components are

functioning properly before putting into service.

Hood Bolt Torque -

8-10 ft. lbs. (11-14 Nm)

The following is a list of improvements to the 2001 440 XCF, 440 / 600 Edge Pro X IFS.

1.

New trailing arms made out of chromoly.

Revised front suspension and steering linkage

Increased the outer radius rod sizes from 3/8” to
7/16” on the upper radius rod and from 3/8” to 1/2” on
the lower radius rods.

Steel trailing arm bushing (rear).

Completely new steering geometry and linkage.

Improved steering rack.

9.

Improved fit between the ski spindle to ski pivot tube.

10. Ground O.D. surface, hard coat plated ski pivot

bushing.
