Removing and installing exhaust 
system

•

Release mounting (1) on cylinder head.

•

Release mounting (2) on transmission.

•

Release mounting (3) on footrest plate.

•

[CAT]

 - Detach plug connection for oxygen 

sensor.

L

 Note:

Use new sealing rings (4) during installation.

Tightening torques :

Exhaust system to cylinder head

.................. 21 Nm

Front silencer (muffler)

................................. 12 Nm

Exhaust system holder to footrest plate

....... 33 Nm

Exhaust system to holder/footrest plate

......... 9 Nm

Retaining bracket to gearbox

....................... 41 Nm

Removing and installing oxygen 
sensor

•

Separate plug connection for oxygen sensor.

•

Remove left footrest plate.

•

Unscrew oxygen sensor at hexagon.

L

 Note:

Before installing, coat thread of oxygen sensor with 
Optimoly TA.

 Caution:

Read out Motronic defect code memory after test 
run!

Tightening torque:
