Engine suspension

Renewing the vibration 
insulator

Special tools

1

Remove the cable duct to the engine speed 
sensor on the flywheel.

2

Remove the exhaust brake and exhaust 
bellows after the turbocharger.

3

Screw on lifting eyes 99 398 to the engine 
using flange bolt M12x30.

4

Disconnect the filter housing for the 
crankcase ventilation and place to one side 
so that it is free from the lifting chain.

5

Fasten the lifting chain 99 094 to the rear 
lifting eyes.

6

Fasten the lever block 587 308 to the front 
lifting eye.

7

Undo the bolts holding together the 
vibration insulator and the bracket.

8

Lift up the engine.

9

Remove the vibration insulator.

10 Fit a new vibration insulator.

11 Lower the engine and tighten the bolts.

12 Remove the lifting chain and lever block.

13 Fit the filter housing for the crankcase 

ventilation.

14 Remove the lifting eyes.

15 Fit the exhaust brake and exhaust bellows 

after the turbocharger.

16 Fit the cable duct to the engine speed sensor 

on the flywheel.

Renewing the engine bracket fitted to the engine

Tightening torque

Special tools

1

Remove the cable duct to the engine speed 
sensor on the flywheel.

2

Remove the exhaust brake and exhaust 
bellows after the turbocharger.

3

Screw on lifting eyes 99 398 to the engine 
using flange bolt M12x30.

4

Disconnect the filter housing for the 
crankcase ventilation and place to one side 
so that it is free from the lifting chain.

5

Fasten the lifting chain 99 094 to the rear 
lifting eyes.

6

Fasten the lever block 587 308 to the front 
lifting eye.

7

Undo the bolts holding together the 
vibration insulator and the bracket.

8

Lift up the engine.

9

Undo the bolts and remove the engine 
bracket from the engine.

Screw for engine bracket

130 Nm + 90

10 Fit a new bracket and torque tighten the 

bolts to the engine to 130 Nm +90°.

11 Lower the engine and fit it. Tighten the bolts 

to the vibration insulator.

12 Remove the lifting chain and lever block.

13 Fit the filter housing for the crankcase 

ventilation.

14 Remove the lifting eyes.

15 Fit the exhaust brake and exhaust bellows 

after the turbocharger.

16 Fit the cable duct to the engine speed sensor 

on the flywheel.
