CHECK REARVIEW CAMERA SHORT CIRCUIT

Check the following.

●

Continuity between rear view camera control unit harness con-
nector B236 terminal 6 (R/G) and ground.

●

Continuity between rear view camera control unit harness con-
nector B236 terminal 16 (BR) and ground.

●

Continuity between rear view camera control unit harness con-
nector B236 terminal 18 (Y) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 5.

NG

>> Repair harness on connector.

5. 

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check power supply and ground circuit. Refer to 

DI-177, "Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check"

 .

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 6.

NG

>> Repair or replace power supply and ground circuit.

6. 

CHECK REARVIEW CAMERA CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.

Connect rear view camera control unit connector.

2.

Turn ignition switch ON.

3.

Shift A/T selector lever to R-position.

4.

Check voltage between rear view camera control unit harness
connector B236 terminal 6 (R/G) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 7.

NG

>> Replace rear view camera control unit.

7. 

CHECK REARVIEW CAMERA SIGNAL

1.

Connect the rear view camera connector.

2.

Check voltage between rear view camera control unit harness
connector B236 terminal 18 (Y) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> Replace rear view camera control unit.

NG

>> Replace rear view camera.

Continuity should not exist.

Continuity should not exist.

Continuity should not exist.

CHECK MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH

Perform multifunction switch self-diagnosis, refer to 

DI-118, "Multifunction Switch Self-Diagnosis Function"

 .

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 2.

NG

>> Replace multifunction switch.

2. 

CHECK REARVIEW CAMERA IRIS SIGNAL

1.

Disconnect rear view camera connector.

2.

Turn ignition switch ON.

3.

Shift the A/T selector lever to R-position.

4.

Check voltage between rear view camera harness connector
B50 terminal 5 (L) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> Replace rear view camera.

NG

>> GO TO 3.

3. 

CHECK REARVIEW CAMERA IRIS SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear view camera control unit connector.

3.

Check continuity between rear view camera control unit harness
connector B236 terminal 8 (L) and rear view camera harness
connector B50 terminal 5 (L).

OK or NG

OK

>> Replace rear view camera control unit.

NG

>> Repair harness or connector.

Approx. 9V

1. 

CHECK SYNCHRO SIGNAL OPEN OR SHORT CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear view camera control unit connector and display
connector.

3.

Check the following.

–

Continuity between rear view camera control unit harness con-
nector B236 terminal 22 (PU) and display harness connector
M82 terminal 10 (PU).

–

Continuity between display harness connector M82 terminal 10
(PU) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 2.

NG

>> Repair harness or connector.

2. 

CHECK COMPO SIGNAL GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between rear view camera control unit B236 har-
ness connector terminal 23 and display harness connector M82 ter-
minal 11.

OK or NG

OK

>> GO TO 3.

NG

>> Repair harness or connector.

3. 

CHECK REARVIEW CONTROL UNIT SYNCHRO SIGNAL

1.

Connect rear view camera control unit connector and display
connector.

2.

Turn ignition switch ON.

3.

Check signal between rear view camera control unit harness
connector B236 terminal 22 (PU) and ground.

OK or NG

OK

>> Replace rear view camera control unit.

NG

>> Replace display.

Continuity should exist.

Continuity should not exist.

Removal and Installation of Rear View Camera Control Unit

REMOVAL

1.

Remove the trunk trim. Refer to 

EI-52, "TRUNK ROOM TRIM &

TRUNK LID FINISHER"

 .

2.

Remove the rear parcel shelf finisher. Refer to

EI-39, "REAR

PARCEL SHELF FINISHER"

 .

3.

Remove the bolts (2), and remove rear view camera control unit.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

1.

Remove the license plate finisher. Refer to 

EI-29, "LICENSE

LAMP FINISHER"

 .

2.

Remove the screws (2), and remove the rear view monitor cam-
era.

3.

Remove the screws (2), and remove the rear view monitor cam-
era cover.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.
