Malfunction Cause

Solution

Cassette deformed or damaged

Check c

assette surface, whether it is damaged or deformed, and

replace it when necessary.

Hatch mechanism stuck or
contains dirt

Check the

hatch, whether it is deformed. As well as the track, whether it

consist dirt. Maintain them when necessary.

Check hatch

track, whether it is too dusty, which results mechanism

stuck. Clean and lubricate when necessary.

Cassette hatch button “EJECT”
malfunction or damaged

Press and check hatch button, whether it is functional. Inspect the

button, whether it is cracked or dropped from loader. Replace radio
assembly when necessary.

No. 209 Cassette speed abnormal, turned over automatically and chewed

Malfunction Cause

Solution

 Power supply malfu

nction

Check external power supply, whether the voltage is over load and

results inner appliances operating unstably. The normal value shal
between 12V and 14V approximately.

 Sentus or deformation on

cassette housing

Sentus or deformation on cassett

e housing affects cassette

operating and results low speed, unstably or chewed. Check and
replace the cassette.

 Button switch not in place

Button switch not in place, resulting all the link mechanism

operating unreliably, and further causes cassette speed unstably or
chewed. Check operating conditions of all buttons and link
mechanism, and implement modification.

 Drive gear worn

Drive gear worn seriously, resulting clearance increased between

each gear, and further causes speed differential. As a result the
cassette speed becomes abnormal, and may turn over automatically
or chewed. Replace recorder assembly.

 Drive belt skid or dropped

Drive belt skid or dropped, that is, the friction reduced between belt

and motor/flywheel, which results motor speed lowered and unstably.
Check drive belt, whether it is loose or dropped, and replace recorder
assembly when necessary.

 Drive motor brush worn seriously.

Drive motor brush worn seriously and fallen graphite powder results

partly short circuit between the copper plates of commutator, and
further causes motor speed lowered. Check the clearance and
wearing condition between brushes, and replace recorder assembly
when necessary.

 Guide pulley low pressure or

deformed

Guide pulley low pressure or d

eformed, wearing or poor bearing

lubrication will cause cassette speed lowered and unstably. Check
guide pulley wearing and operating condition, and lubricate or replace
recorder assembly when necessary.

Cassette speed

abnormal,

turned over

automatically

and chewed

 Speed regulator potentiometer of

electric governor damaged

The resistance of speed regulator potentiometer, electric governor,

increased or decreased, as well as delayed diode open circuit or short
circuit will result motor voltage raised or reduced, which causes motor
speed unstable. Check the speed regulator potentiometer of electric
governor circuit, whether it is damaged, and replace recorder
assembly when necessary.
