No. 206 CD-player burns out when connecting power source

Malfunction Cause

Solution

CD-player power source or
circuit malfunction

Check CD-player power source, whether the voltage is between 12V and
14V. If the voltage is over normal standard, then check generator and
external power source, whether they operating normally.

Check the resistance value between the positive pole of CD-player power
supply circuit and CD-player housing, with multimeter, whether the value is
between 5kOhm and 10kOhm. If the circuit is conducting and the resistance
value is 0, then it indicates there is short circuit between positive pole of
power source and CD-player housing.

CD-player short circuit
between housing and earth

Check CD-player inner stabilized voltage supply and all components of
protective circuit, whether there is short circuit. The principle inspecting
points are as follows: the inductive choke of stabilized voltage supply end,
the dynatron of controlling switch power supply and protective diode.
Check the components above, whether they were burnt out, and replace
them or the CD-player when necessary.

CD-player burns

out when

connecting

power source

CD –player over load

Connect multimeter to positive pole of CD-player, and set to current
measure mode. Turn on CD-player and operate in common condition, test
current whether it is over normal value. Check power source circuit and
corresponding loads one by one, whether they are over load or consist
leakage.

Check CD-player power supply voltage

Inspect and maintain

generator

CD-player burns out when connecting power

source

Check the resistance value between the

positive pole of CD-player inner power

source and CD-player housing.

Inspect and maintain stabilitized
power source circuit

CD-player over load

Replace CD-player assembly

Inspect and maintain power

amplifying circuit

No. 207 CD-player consists back drop

Malfunction Cause

Solution

Check disk surface, whether it consists scuffing or

wearing seriously, which results fuzziness sound when
playing.

CD –player disk malfunction

Check whether there is problem of disk quality.

Engine high voltage wire or other electric
appliances

Check

engine high voltage wire, whether it is

damaged. As well as the resistance value, whether it is
normal. Replace when necessary.

 Check shield wire between CD

-player housing and

earth lead, whether it consists disconnection or loose.

CD-player shield wire malfunction

Check the connection condition between radio

antenna pin and CD-player housing.

The alternation switch of CD-player and
radio not in place.

Check the transfer switch between CD

-player and

radio, whether it consists virtual link, or in place.
Inspect the mechanical part of corresponding
connection or replace CD-player assembly when
necessary.

Check the filter in CD

-player stabilized circuit. For

the filters with inductive choke, shall inspect leakage.
Replace CD-player when necessary.

CD-player stabilized power source

components and loudspeaker circuit

components

Check the capacitor in circuit, whether it is damaged.

Replace CD-player when necessary.

CD-player consists

back drop when

operating

CD –player inner malfunction

Check power source, if it is low power, which results

CD-player inner components operate abnormally.
Replace CD-player assembly when abnormal.
