Foreword 

The  steering  gear  is  running  30,000  kilometers  with  vehicle  or  using 

within 18 months, in this condition, it belongs to warranty date, customer 

could  contact  with  our  factory  directly  and  we  will  repair  freely  if  the 

product  has  any  malfunction.  You  also  could  repair  in  the  maintenance 

station  has  trained  by  us.  If  we  have  the  agreement  with  vehicle  factory, 

according to it. 

 

 

During  the  maintenance  process,  if  you  found  the  content  in  this 

manual  is  different  from  the  product  repaired,  that  because  our 

products  keep  improving  all  the  time.  Not  any  more  still  further

1.  Inspect of oil leak of power steering gear. (Figure 1)

Raise the front-end of vehicle, clean the steering gear, pump, hose, 

and external surface of hose connection completely. 

1.2 

Inspect  and  rectify  whether  the  oil  level  of  reservoir  of  pump  was 

on the stated scale. 

          ※  Notice:  Before  inspect,  if  the  oil  injected  too  much  in  the 

reservoir, must drain the excrescent oil from reservoir until 

reach to 

the right oil level.

Check  whether  there  is  air  in  the  oil,  if  air  interfused  (there  are 

bubbles  in  the  oil)  it  will  cause  oil  overflow  from  reservoir  and  it 

will be mistaken as oil leak.

Inspect  and  tighten  all  the  hose  connections  of  steering  gear  and 

pump. 

1.5 

Start  engine;  turn  the  steering  wheel  fully  to  left  and  right  several 

times.  Stop  at  the  left  and  right  limiting  positions  can’t  more  than 

three seconds when turning. Inspect whether external  leakage then 

turn off the engine.   

Admonition: It will damage the steering pump if stop at any limiting 

position for a long time.

The oil-leak of steering gear could occur on the positions as below:

Leather package of input port.

Junction  plane  of  valve  housing  and

2.    Dismount of steering gear   

2.1 

Raise the front-end of vehicle, work in safety bracket and keep the 

front-wheel on the straightline driving position. 

2.2 

Put the drip tray under the steering gear. 

2.3 

Dismount  the  hose  from  steering  gear,  fix  hose  on  the  position 

higher  than  reservoir  to  avoid  oil  overflow,  cover  hose  connection 

to prevent dirt enter it.

Dismount the intermediate driving shaft from steering input shaft.

Dismount  the  steering  tie  rod  from  steering  pitman  arm,  remove 

fixed  bolt  of  steering  gear  and  then  dismount  steering  gear.  If 

necessary dismount pitman arm from steering gear. Make marks on 

the  pitman  arm  and  pitman  arm  shaft  for  confirming  the 

assembling position next time. 

Admonition:  If  pitman  arm  was  assembled  on  the  wrong  position,  it 

will  cause  the  travel  of  a  certain  direction  of  steering  gear  is  not 

enough; further more result in steering accident. 

3.  Disassembly of steering gear (Figure 2)

 Notice:

 The  following  processes  introduced  the  steps  and  methods  of 

disassembly,  inspect,  rework  and  assembly  of  every  main 

components  of  steering  gear,  please  consult  the  diagnosis  of 

malfunction  firstly  before  disassembly  and  then  confirm  the 

position  of  malfunction.  Regarding  the  part  is  independent  of 

malfunction doesn’t disassemble as possible, for avoiding to cause 

the  new  broken.  The  parts  prohibit  to  be  disassembled  in  this 

manual, please follow it.

 When  overhaul  power  steering  gear,  keep  it  clean  is  the  most 

important  step,  you  should  keep  the  workbenches,  tools  and 

components clean at any step.

 At  any  step,  you  should  use  the  mouth  of  tongs  with  safeguard 

when assemble or dismount steering gear on the bench clamp. And 

you  should  use  power  steering  fluid  to  lubricate  all  the 

components 

when 

assembly
